Congratulations to Dr. Phillip Shadduck!Dr. Phillip Shadduck co-wrote an article that was published by the American College of Surgeons. The article, "Inguinal Hernia: Minimally Invasive, Open, Preperitoneal Repair", was co-written by Dr. Shadduck and Dr. Robert Kugel, the innovator of the technique. Their article was published in the Hernia Surgery Volume of the ACS Multimedia Atlas of Surgery. |

Dr. Kathryn Baerman Elected into The American Society of Breast SurgeonsCongratulations to Dr. Baerman, Surgery Specialist of Triangle Orthopaedic Associates, P.A. for her recent appointment as a member of The American Society of Breast Surgeons. ASBS leads the nation as an advocacy organization for general surgeons who treat patients with breast disease. The society formed in 1995 and today, it has more than 3,000 members worldwide. Dr. Baerman currently participates in a fellowship program centered on breast disease treatment and surgery. She seeks to deliver excellent, individualized care, while accommodating each patient’s needs in a pleasant environment. |
The McKenzie Institute: two courses to be hosted by Triangle OrthopaedicsTriangle Orthopaedic Associates, P.A. will co-sponsor courses by The McKenzie Institute. The first of two courses in 2013 will be held on June 21-23, 2013 and is focused on “Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy of the Lumbar Spine.” The second course, “Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy of the Cervical and Thoracic Spine,” will be held on November 1-3. Both of these courses will be held at the AIHF location in North Raleigh. The McKenzie Institute is a prestigious institute for Physical Therapists, PTA’s and ATC’s. Triangle Orthopaedics opens 6th Orthopaedic Urgent CareA new OUCH Center, or Orthopaedic Urgent Care Health Center, is now operating at the Southpoint location. As a great alternative to emergency room visits, the center accepts walk-ins and patients are usually seen within an hour of arrival. The OUCH center strives to improve accessibility to care and responsiveness to patients’ emergent orthopaedic needs. |
New TOA Satellite Offices Opening SoonTriangle Orthopaedics will open a new satellite location in Dunn, NC beginning December 3, 2012. The office will operate through Spring 2013, at which point it will relocate to Erwin, NC.
