Steven Winters, M.D.

Biography:

Dr. Winters attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he graduated with a double major in biochemistry and history with honors. He completed medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School, and his orthopaedic residency was completed at Duke University Medical Center.

Subsequently, a year fellowship in upper extremity and hand surgery was completed at Massachusetts General Hospital under the auspices of Harvard University. Research efforts during the fellowship were centered on carpal tunnel syndrome and hand flexor tendon injury and repair.

Dr. Winters is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Duke Hand Club, and the Harvard Hand Club. He additionally has earned a certificate of qualification as a hand surgeon.

Dr. Winters has a broad range of experience in orthopaedic problems including hand, total joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and general orthopaedics.

Dr. Winters is a physician at Triangle Orthopaedic Associates, P.A. and practices at Durham Regional Hospital, North Carolina Specialty Hospital, Granville Medical Center, and Lincoln Community Health Center.
