Biography:

Paul J. Kerner, MD, comes to Triangle Orthopaedics after practicing in the Capital District of Upstate NY for the past 4 years.  Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Kerner completed a fellowship at The Insall Scott Kelly Institute (ISK) in NYC.  At ISK, he trained under the team physicians for the NY Yankees, NY Knicks, and the New Jersey Nets in all areas of knee and shoulder reconstruction.  Most recently, Dr. Kerner completed a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Brown University in Providence, RI.  Dr. Kerner's main interests are in Sports Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery of the foot, ankle, knee, and shoulder.  His wife, Nicole, is a practicing Gynecologist and he has 3 children.  His personal interests include playing golf and competing in triathlon's.

Dr. Kerner will be seeing patients beginning in August 2008 out of our Durham and Raleigh offices.  He will be operating at NC Specialty Hospital, Durham Regional Hospital, and Rex Hospital.
